Chicagoland Allstar Athletics started on January 31, 2003 on the south side of Chicago. We are an organization dedicated to providing the youth of the Chicagoland area with a safe, positive and nurturing environment to grow and develop physically and mentally. We accomplish these goals by offering an affordable competitive athletic program that fosters the ideas of dedication, hard work and teamwork.
Our goal is …
- To mentor and educate our participants concerning the physical and mental demands that athletics entails and prepare them to cope with it successfully.
- To provide a safe and effective program designed to focus on the physical demands and safety aspects of athletics.
- To enhance the positive, never focusing on what you are not able to do but teaching the skills necessary to achieve our individual and team goals.
- To eliminate the habit of saying, “I can’t,” and concentrate on teaching participants on how to troubleshoot their weaknesses through accessing their shortcomings and using new ideas to achieve their objectives.
- To give participants, boys and girls, ages 6 through 18, the knowledge and skills needed to perform at a competitive level.
Since January 2003 we have reached thousands of boys & girls through performances, instruction and community service projects. We have enriched their lives by offering positive role models, dedication to themselves and their craft, community pride, teamwork, and how to C.O.M.M.I.T. (Continuing Onward Mastering My Instruction Thoroughly) to Excellence. Currently we serve 30 members who will be competing in a total of nine competitions during the course of this year.
In addition to competitions, we are involved in community service projects. We have worked in area clean up activities and we are currently participating in the Ronald McDonald House pop tab program, collecting over 50,000 pop tabs and we have also hosted a community fall fun fair.
The children in this program come from varying backgrounds but the common thread is that they all enjoy participating and they benefit from being in the program. If the child has the drive, then we have a place for them to develop healthy life skills that will assist them even after they have outgrown the program.
